Mediation Approach:
Ms Curtis consults with counsel prior to the mediation to develop and approach that fits each individual dispute. She has mastery of facilitation skills, including working effectively in highly charged emotional situations. She is also particularly effective in assisting parties to analyze and evaluate their alternatives to settlement and develop effective negotiation strategies to reach agreement.

Dana Crutis has been a full-time mediator since 1991 and a teacher of mediation since 1988. In her Sausalito practie, she mediates a wide range of business and commercial, personal injury, probate, employment and family and unmarried partner disputes.
Ms. Curtis also served as circuit Mediator with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has extensive experience as a teacher of mediation, including Stanford Law School as a Lecturer in Law; University of Rome, La Sapienza/Hamline University School of Law, Rome, teaching Mediating International Busienss Disputes; and the Court of Appeal, First, Second and Third Appellate Districts, training over 500 lawyers in their five-day Appellate Mediation Training.
