Gilda Turitz has been litigating for over 27 years and concentrates her practice on federal and state court complex civil and business litigation involving commercial transaction, contractual, partnership and intra-corporate disputes; real estate, unfair competiton claims; legal malpractice and professional liability; fraud; breach of fiduciary duty; and securities disputes. She also represents clients in securites arbitrations before FINRA (formerly NASD) and in investigations and enforcement actions by the Securites and Exchange Commission . Her diverse practice extends to trademark, products liability, environmental and construction defects litigation.
In addition to representing clients as an advocate, Ms. Turitz is an arbitrator, mediator and early neutral evaluator. She is on federal and state court panels, and since 1989 has served as a commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association. In SEC v. Prudential Securites (1994-1996), Ms. Turitz was arbitrator in more than 300 expedited arbitrations involving investor suitability and misrepresentation claims, and mediated many of such claims.
