Mediation Approach:
I practice mainly facilitative mediation, as I believe it is very important to let the parties drive the process. As a mediator, I am there to keep the mediation on track, and to make sure that the agreement is fair to all parties. My goal is to provide the parties with the opportunity to have a facilitated conversation, through which they can collaborate to construct a solution to the problem(s) at hand. I usually keep the parties together throughout the mediation, but will break out into caucus if necessary. As the situation demands, I will employ a more directive approach when the parties need or ask for guidance.
