Mediation Approach:
Primarily facilitative, but sometimes more directive, depending on the parties and counsel involved, and the nature of the dispute.
Arbitration Approach:
I conduct my arbitration hearing in a casual environment with somewhat relaxed rules of evidence, allowing the parties to present their case and defenses and I issue reasoned awards.
Neutral Approach:
Settlement conference format with a written statement of my analysis of the case following the hearing.
Other Information:
I am one of the few mediators/arbitrators who still maintains a law practice. My rationale is that it keeps me grounded with what is going on in the courts and with the ever-changing practice of law.
